Starting on 27 September 2019 Carthago. The immortal myth, the first large-scale exhibition dedicated entirely to the history and civilization of one of the most powerful and fascinating cities of the ancient world, curated by Alfonsina Russo, Director of the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, Francesca Guarneri, Paolo Xella and José Ángel Zamora López, with Martina Almonte and Federica Rinaldi.

The exhibition, promoted by the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, with the organization of Electa, will be on display until 29 March 2020 throughout the monumental spaces of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, within the Temple of Romulus and the Imperial Ramp, with over four hundred pieces from the most prestigious Italian and foreign museums, made available thanks to extraordinary loans obtained through an assiduous effort of international cooperation.

The exhibition distinguishes itself with its great chronological breadth and the richness of its documentary sources and is furthermore enhanced by never before seen historical reconstructions and multimedia installations.

Two publications edited by Electa accompany the exhibition: a collection of scholarly articles, featuring the contributions of numerous experts, and the portable guidebook, in Italian and English, which will guide visitors through the various sections of the exhibition and around the Roman Forum exhibition spaces.
