To mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Parco archeologico del Colosseo and the Roman Jewish Community present “The life of Charlotte Salomon through images and music”.
In the Curia Iulia in the Roman Forum, the John Cabot Chamber Ensemble will perform the music of Salomone Rossi and traditional Jewish music.

To follow: Miriam Capaldo will share the story of the woman and artist Charlotte Salmon, a Berlin-born Jewish woman who, in less than two years, created over a thousand tempera paintings that tell, with exceptional creativity, the story of her life. Having fled to France in an effort to escape the German Nazis, and after a life marked by family tragedies, she was captured by the Gestapo and deported to Auschwitz where she died soon after her arrival, at just 26 years old.
