The Parco archeologico del Colosseo hosted a series of encounters devoted to Ovid, on the occasion of the exhibition at the Scuderie del Quirinale Loves, Myths and Other Stories devoted to the Latin poet, with this year’s celebrations for the 2000th anniversary of his death.

Saturday 27 October and Saturday 17 November, at 11.30am a free visit was guided by the park officials (Patrizia Fortini, Federica Rinaldi, Andrea Schiappelli). It took in the places of power of the Roman Forum through an evocative journey through Augustan Rome: from the Arch of Augustus to the Temple of the Divus Iulius and then to the Basilica Iulia and Basilica Aemilia. An extraordinary opportunity for the citizens to explore and rediscover the nerve centers of Roman civilization.

On Saturday 1 December the Curia Iulia hosted Love and Adultery between Gods, and Men: an encounter open to the public with Eva Cantarella and Maurizio Bettini.
