On Tuesday June 26, the Parco archeologico del Colosseo and the Department of Antiquities of the Università “La Sapienza” in Rome opened the archaeological site of the Horrea Vespasiani on Via Nova. At this occasion of public archaeology, the history of a sector on the northern slopes of the Palatine was recounted through the different histories resulting from research, finds and archaeological reconstructions over the last twenty years.

The director of the Parco archeologico del Colosseo Dr. Alfonsina Russo and the director of the excavations Prof. Paolo Carafa opened this first public archeology event at the Parco archeologico del Colosseo. It is the fruit of a long-standing collaboration with the Department of the Sciences of Antiquity at La Sapienza Università di Roma.
